    Default GLB-502T- ADSL2 + ROUTER config

    Hello fellow digital surfers,

I got myself a Dlink GLB 502T and have downloaded the USB driver. I cant seem to find anything on the net at the moment as to configure and install the router.

I have BSNL broadband HOME1800 plan.

Anyone can point me to somewhere or give me instructions.

And also, wil this allow me to have one pc connected via wireless and one from the LAN?
    cheers

first connect your desktop or laptop with your d-link router with a lan cable.your router will be detected then type 192.168.1.1 in the internet explorer or in any web browser.

then a dialogue box will appear then type your username and password typically its username is admin and password is password or admin then press enter

go to wan settings, click the edit button in the first connection and set the router to pppoe mode enter your username password there leave the encapsulation to LLc/snap.

then go to LAN settings and select DHCP server on (select this option if want to connect more than one computer)

now you are set to go click save and restart the router.

you will be connected automatically to the internet without manually dialing from windows.

the modem just connects you to the internet through your isp.. your router helps in managing your internal network like wifi devices(laptops).. giving ips to them, port forwarding etc etc
