if you use pppoe mode in which modem dials DNS servers must be put in modem.if you are using bridge mode in which windows dials put these in TCP/IP properties.

even if you use ppoe mode.. and you set it in the computer's tcp/ip it still works fine!!

on the utstarcom router, there is an option to use automatic assigned dns server, which if checked will use the ones stored on the pc...

i am not sure about that.. in the router if you select automatic assined dns server then the router will take the dns server of BSNL

Yes i have tried that flashblocker and found significant increase in speed in firefox while browsing on sites which has heavy flash content in it.

I applied the settings to my local connection amd I got a noticeable improvement in speed. Thank you.

what d/l speeds do you guys get, say using azureus (on a healthy torrent ofcourse)

my local line attn is 29 which means i am about 1.5-2km from exchange & therefore my max avg.download speed is around 230KBps using IDM.on healthy torrents i get around 200-210KBps using utorrent.
