    Default ZXDSL 531B - Configuration

Hi, i got a BSNL wireless modem ZXDSL 531B. I configured the LAN ip setting based on many of u r blogs as 192.168.1.x(2-255) then sub net 255.255.255.0 and default get way as 192.168.1.1 - then i login to 192.168.1.1 for setting up of router thorugh user name and password using admin.

I changed the WAN setting to PPPOE and sepcify the username and password as given by BSNL. I ocnfigured the wireless setting and security. Only name and security has been defined for the wireless.

I specified the DNS server setting as primary 218.248.240.46 and 218.248.255.146 as given in the blogs and many of mine friends suggested that.

I configred this TCP IP setting not only for LAN but also for wireless network.

Still i am not able to connect to net wia cable to broadband and not also to th wireless network..

Always diagnostic shows the mesaage of ADSL link down.

Pls help me in setting up the braod band as well wireless netwrk

you enter all these properties for connection having VPI/VCI values 0 & 35 respectively, right?post some screenshots of your modem configuration by uploading images on free image hosting sites.also in command prompt(type cmd in run dialogue box) type ipconfig /all & post the results here.

i doubt if the screenshots can be attached to posts(their size is usually around 100kb with dimensions around 800*600 jpeg images).upload them here(imageshack.us) & you will get some links.choose hotlinks for forum(1) to show your image here itself or clickable thumbnail again hotlinks for forum(1) to show a thumbnail which on clicking will show the full image.

    in IPsec--capability--enable bitswap.
in LAN--enable DHCP enter start IP address as 192.168.1.3(if you are using usb port of modem too).
in TCP/IP settings v4---select"obtain IP address automatically","obtain DNS server address automatically".

confirm your WIFI works in laptop.
( In modem enable DHCP )
Wifi name (SSID)should appear in Nokia Phone.
http://www.indiabroadband.net/bsnl-b...reference.html (UTSTAR WA3002-G4 quick reference) similar modem pages./board.
