Default Billing process

Though I have already read about the billing process in one of the thread, just wanted a confimation again.
I was been installed on home 500 plan on march 14th 2008 and one of the installation officer informed that unlimited download starts by 22:00 till 07:00 hours. I am a mass downloader, without knowing the actual timings, based on the verbal confirmation from the GTO/JTO, i started downloading a lot which crossed my even my free download of 2.5gb till 28th March. And on 28th march, i once again checked the tarrif plan and the timings and it was mentioned as 02:00-08:00 hours free download. I got shocked and immediately I confirmed with one of the bsnl office and they also confirmed the same timings. Immediately i went to my exchange and explained my situation and converted my current plan to Home UL plus which is unlimited.

Let me know whether I would be billed in the previous plan which is 80 paise per MB excess download or in the current Home UL plus plan.

To be frank, it all depends on the mood of the person who manages the billing, (yes it is true i have experienced it). This is how the people in bsnl work. But since you have requested it on 28th, which seems too late to convert to another plan for that month, they would probably change it only in the next month and they will probably calculate your usage on 500 c plan only. all the best

sorry to say this but you will be billed for all the excess download for one month because you have requested them convert to 900 UL on 28th.To convert it will take atleast 2 days[working days].So they will take into consideration after one month.Dont get upset.

I have faced a similar problem but from bsnl side, i applied for 500, they gave 250 plan. After getting the bill i complained at local bsnl exchange they responded positively changed my plan to 500 and revised the bill(in process)
But in your case they treat it to be a problem from your side so it depends,
did u get any asuurance from them that u r bill will be revised . I cant say how they do it if they do as i am awaiting my bill since a month but i am asuured that i will be billed as per 500 plan from AO telephones.

so far my bill is not generated, hence it would be generated only april 4th...and i have also checked with customer care...and they informed me with effect from april only my plan would get changed, hence i would be billed in the previous plan for my excess usage.
I approached commercial and they assured, once the bill comes we can speak to accounts officer for the waiver....
I am going to start my request process from here on to all the officers...this is just out of ignorance and mis communication at your end. However, that cannot be reason out which is invalid....but Error is human and I would not be learnt at the cost of money....

So lets see for the positive proceedings.

it all depends on the nature of the concerned bsnl officials in your case.if you get lucky your bill will be corrected in few minutes/hours.however if you come across some strict/non helping bsnl official then you may have to pay the extra bill.
