Question BSNL Plan change to Home UL 900 Plus

    Hello Friends,
I was on home 250 plan for jan,feb and march. i applied for plan change on 15th march to change in to home UL 900 Plus. At that time the person on the counter told me to deposit 900 in advance and gave me receipt for it. when i inquired for date of effectiveness of plan change, they replied it would be effective from 1st april. now i check my account on bbservice.bsnl.in My Order status shows Future Dated. Whether i should start using as if it is unlimited plan or should inquire first. Please help me out...:

Don't ever guess on your own that it has been converted to unlimited, as you might end up with huge bill if it was not converted. Always confirm it with them either in writing or get to confirm them when you visit bsnl office. Wait for some time.

in My Order status shows Future Dated
it literally means that your plan change is scheduled to change in future & your plan hasn't been changed yet.if it was changed order status should show--open(higher probability) or provisioned(usually for limited plans with min hire period of 3 months like home 250 or 500) i think.

Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?

still don't take any risks.save the portal page showing your plan as 900 provisioned.also in home 900 speeds are around 256kbps or 30-32KBps.be careful if you still get high speeds of 2mbps(~200KBps).

same for me...i was in 500 home plan from 14th march and on 28th march i gave a request for a change to home 900 ul...now i can see in the usage details, the plan has been changed,,,however for a doyble confirmation on a safer side, i called my exchange and spoke to commercial officer and she said the plan change is sill shows pending in her system.

    which has to be considered?

commercial officer is responsible for billing so better to take her words as final.also if your plan is changed you will get reduced speeds(256kbps or 30-32KBps)& your order status should show---provisioned(higher probability) or open(not sure about this).

make sure that you are getting the speeds of 256kbps(~30-32KBps or some times a little higher) & you are not getting speeds of 150-200KBps.i know some users who were getting speeds as in old plan even after plan change is shown in portal but after a day or two their speeds reduced to lower level(256 kbps or 32KBps as per unlimited).

it seems to be both are same...i still find any difference in the way you have mentioned...other than the cases....

just to reiterate...during the day...if am downloading 100 mb or more than that as a single download,i can see 220KB/sec,but not constant, varies from 100KB/sec up till 220KB/sec and in the night, same size of file max to max as a single download 15KB/sec....

During the day if am downloading 2 files at a time with a size of 100MB each then the speed for each file would be 70KB/sec but within 100KB/sec....

    Am I making myself clear....

i think i would be in deep trouble....again now i called up customer care to confirm on the plan....now these buggers it is still under processing...and when I say the plan change was confirmed on saturday by one of your executive...
"Now i am telling no sir...it is still under processing." this is a statement....if i have ever been charged...then its so simple...i wont be paying the bill....

Whitestar, can you also respond on the title "Change in home plan from 500 to UL 900" which I have posted day before yday...

i think its better to be safe so don't use your plan unless you get speeds 30-40KBps all the time.also in your order status it should be "provisioned" as i am not sure about "open" but then i have changed my plan from 250 to 500 so i may be wrong.

if it is future dated do not use your plan as unlimited.plan status must be "provisioned" & by seeing your case i think even "open"is not sure.

    Default same problem

i have the same problem with change of plan.First of all, i want to tell that plan change only takes place after the billing cycle has been completed and each plan has a minimun hire period of one month, so it may take a maximum of 29 days for change of plan.
next future dated status means your request has been forwarded by the local exchange to banglore which doesnt confirms the plan change. start using according to new plan only after status is Provisioned, which confirms change of plan from banglore centre

the home UL900 plus plan is now converted to home UL 750plus.......there is no difference in these plans

one other difference- There are two plans in unlimited connection
    1: Home UL750
    2: Home UL750 Plus

in home UL750 plus there are no free calls instead your monthly rental is waived off meaning thereby zero monthly rental

in home UL750 plan monthly rental is NOT waived off but you get some free calls
    as per ONE India plan

i hope now your confusion is clear
