Cool Solution to Link blink problem, but found another new problem with C2110 modem....!!!

Hey guys,,

if u r suffering from problem that u can't connect to net.
and the link light on ur modem keeps on blinking.....
then here is the solution....

1. get ur modem checked at ur local exchange (not city exchange).

2. if the modem is correct then ask them to find out if ur modem has been JUMPERED for BroadBand Connection on your line or not (this is the main problem i hv identified, as most of new connections hv not been jumpered correctly)

3. then tell them to test ur modem on your line from their Local Exchange Unit....

4. ThatsAll,,,,,, it Works,,, Believe me...!!!

======================================
But guys apart from this i have encountered a new problem, and hope that u would try to solve it or i would have to get the modem replaced soon.....

the problem is

"When I Power On my NOKIA SEIMENS C2110 MODEM, All the lights flash up and remain flashing without any connectivity,

i mean there is no detection of modem (when connected on USB)
As Well As
There is only limited connectivity (when connected with Ethernet)

Also I cannot open 192.168.1.1"

I Think Modem is faulty...

afterall it is China Made.......

and thats why it has stopped working just in 2 days......

Hey,,,,,,
Tell me what is the procedure to give modem back to BSNL and get back Refund Money....
I dont want to rely on China Made Modem

I would rather like to spend a bit more and buy a ADSL Modem of good quality and atleast not made in china..... i mean modems made in Korea and USA are much better and reliable.......

What u think.....

Also tell me Which modem should i buy ????????????

--------------------------
I know this modem has stopped working b'coz of Fluctuations --------- said BSNL Official
--------------------------
But what is the sense of saying that when modem is connected to UPS

as a last resort you can reset the modem by pressing the button in the hole on back using a pin & keep pushing for 20-30 sec.my modem is SIEMENS c2110 too & its a good model.as for china made almost all the major electronics companies(including SONY,TOSHIBA etc) now made their products there.SIEMENS is a very good company & relatively much better than some other modems provided by BSNL.

Question Siemens C2110:all light flashing

my nokia siemens networks modem C2110.. modem recently provided
by BSNL has the problem of all light flashing..with no connectivity...
cannot connect even 192.168.1.1
.. could use braodband for about an hour.. then.. the problem started...
what shall i do? Does BSNL replaces the modem if it is bought from them?
Do they give any warranty?
Please suggest what should be done. I have already registered a complaint
with BSNL. Did BSNL replaced your faulty modem?
Thanks ....

Unhappy This c2110 is nothing but a ****!!!!!!

Helo all! As you all should have got an idea from my tittle i'm another man tired of bsnl broadband. I'm using a seimens c2110 modem and my broadband has set just a few days before my problem is whenever i try to connect 2 server by going 2 set up a new broadband connection in my windows vista home premium and following appropriate steps it fails to do that and it gives an error no. 825 that describes the server is not responding to the service name(by service name it mentions service name like dataone or bsnl broadband i think but its not the username definitly), ok lets leave it on there i don't think there's a solution 4 this but considering another thing i visited on the ip address http://192.168.1.1/ and logged on with same admin and admin and connected to the net by giving my username and password but still there is a huge problem, it's giving the speed of a dial-up connection n i'm fed up of that it takes 30 minutes to download a 30MB file that means 1 min for a MB thats bulshit a friend of mine with the same connection n plan i.e. home 750 plus is getting 100 MB in just 10 mins i.e. 10 sec/MB man!!!!!!!!! Why I'm getting such a slow speed somebody please tell me a solution 4 that or i'll go crazy giving 750 bucks every month for a connection that works worst than a dial-up........ somebody plz help me!!!!!!!

Hi friend it is 100% sure your modem is faulty coz a number of people experienced the same fault here. This Nokia Siemens Modem is not at all reliable.

take your 750ul modem and connect it to the home 500 line and see if the adsl light is constant.. if it is then its a modem problem.. otherwise its a problem on their side!!

So far I know, BSNL does not provide any warranty to their modem. So it is a troublesome job to get an exchange. on the other hand money refund is not possible from BSNL (Which is given for purchaging modem). Security money can be get back.
