Thread: How much time it will take to get Broadband

Hi,

I have applied for 500c plus plan on 30th of january. After a lot of struggle to day I got the Land line connection. Can you please tell me when can I get the modem from BSNL (I have paid the amount for the modem at the time registartion) and how much time it will take to get broad band activated on my phone.......

It actually depends on the area in which u are staying.And i its BSNL's policy that the modem as well as the rent the customer is supposed to pay when the first bill comes.
How come u paid it in advance?

modem security(rs.1200 for type I )has to be paid in advance.in my case i got modem after 10 days of depositing security.

I have deposited around 2400/- including all(Type I modem charges also) at the time of registration. Till now I didnt get the Modem.....

In my case when i had asked him that should i pay ....so he said ..that all the charges will come in ur first bill then ur supposed to pay ......And i did pay them in the first broadband bill....
How strange on BSNL's part .....unjust rules being followed .....had they given any receipts to u guys?

at least in my city we have to deposit Rs.1200 as type I modem security & around Rs.200 as registration/other charges.we then get a receipt & only after that modem is given.

Yaa they have given me receipt for the 2400/-. I think the above amount includes modem charges, one month rent advance and other charges...
