I saw this blog link on technorati about BSNL's new 2MBPS Unlimited Plan. Can anybody verify this. Is this true?
looks very hard to be true.probably a hoax or misinterperation of some trial plan.also this concept is totally irrational.bsnl has just launched 512kbps unlimited for Rs.1350 & 256kbps is now for Rs.750.who will take these plans if you can get 2mbps unlimited for Rs.750?think about it.
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent.
Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?
I thought so. And there is no mention of it in bsnl.in also. The ad seems to be a mistake. I think this is a 256 kbps plan with limit of 2 GB, for those with minimal usage and 750 for those who need more. But even that doesn't make sense. Because there is a home 900 plan which is 256 kbps. I am confused.
hey can u help me, im using bsnl 500 combo plan. i would like to know abt , is there any limit for downloading at happy hours(2am to 8am).
no , you can download how much ever you want during 2-8am its totally free
thank u for ur valuable feed back.
Download and start tweaking with FlashGet and it's Scheduling feature. You can set it up to download in this time and use scheduled downloads as default method. One precaution is - Flash Get performs diferently on different pcs. Why I don't know, but, suggest you to check the startup and shutdown of downloads by setting it's speed to 0.001 kb in manual speed mode and setting the clock in day time between 1 to 2 minutes apart - then add a download link and see.
If you have a pppoe dialer configured - then switch on "Disconnect" and "shutdown" buttons in Flashget to avoid automatic dialing by windows and other updates.
I saw this on the same blog. bsnl 350 plan is a 256 kbps one. And 900 home is now 750 rupees. I think this could be true. I waited for 10 min on the free helpline and they did not answer.
This absoluetly not possible at least for the time being, may be in the long future it could happen because the rates are going to be less and less in the future and perhaps there will be even free broadband as said by the previous telecom minister of india. lets keep our fingers crossed.
Not at all possible
I believe you are talking about 2Mbps unlimited for Rs 350. Yes that is not what happened. I got through the helpline and they told me that Flexi 350 plan is only 256 kbps and it is available on a trial basis only. They don't seem to have full details. What a disappointment.
256kbps is not even broadband. It should be 512 minimum. And my friend in singapore says that he pays approx Rs 900 (35 Sing $ )per month for 2 Mbps unlimited broadband. Sometimes it even exceeds 3 Mbps. When I send him a torrent of 700 MB he will be seeing it in 20 min. That's what I want here.
if you have seen singapore's airports(i haven't in person only seen pictures) & indian airports you will realize that comparing singapore or for that matter any advanced country's facilities to here in india is totally wrong.we will be lucky if bsnl provides even 1 mbps unlimited next year(it took bsnl 2 years to announce 512kbps unlimited). When I send him a torrent of 700 MB he will be seeing it in 20 min. That's what I want here.
i agree with whiltestar
there is a huge difference between developed countries like singapore and UK and India
There are broadband connections plans offered for 8 Mbps unlimited download in the UK which does not cost much
BSNL guys keep telling that the new plan in upto 2Mbps. Can anybody confirm this?
all BSNL limited(not unlimited)plans are upto 2mbps.
yes!we must ask why but to ourselves because our country is a democracy & we elect the leaders who then run this nation. We must ask WHY?
BSNL claims it offers 2Mbps internet, but its never really 2Mbps (or 256KBps). Most of the time, speed is around 200KBps, and during the happy hours, the speed per connection is often throttled, to very low speeds. This is clearly a cheap stratagy to decieve and cheat people, since it officially states that it offers “upto” 2Mbps connection speeds. Legally speaking, its not doing any wrong, but this twisting of language does decieve many people. Under normal circumstances, “upto” can be refered to being somewhere “around” 2Mbps. But as far as BSNL is concerned, its not true at all.
BSNL is at least providing service in those areas. If we insist on 2 Mbps, we may not get even what we are getting now. BSNL is a government company and has its own drawbacks. But Airtel and Reliance is ignoring rural areas completely.
lol that post is dated "Date April 7th, 2008"
dont go for bsnl plans, the speed is bad, service is worst
I am happy with my Wishnet Kolkata at Rs. 761/- for 750kbs and i am getting download speeds of avg 100kbps
We don't even use BSNL to make a phone call lol, BSNL is passe
