Default BSNL WLL broad band speed

I was going through the BSNL WLL internet details
The high speed internet which comes with WLL tarang phone
On the web site (Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd.)

They say that the speed is 14.4 kbps that is slower than dial up

is it a typo error or they are giving actually 14 .4 kbps

i think it should be 144 kbps right?

If it is 115 kbps then the download will be around 14 KBps
that i think is really bad

I hope they launch EVDO in whole of Bangalore which has capacity of 2 Mbps

BSNL EVDO provides 144kbps which is damn slow meaning thereby you will get18KB/s this is too slow!!!!!!....and besides it is wireless so you will not get full signal strength .....there will be always some disturbance...

BSNL EVDO supports both speeds---144kbps & upto 2.4mbps but there are very few locations in the country where this upto 2.4mbps speed is available because this is in a testing phase.

yes, i am getting 144kbps in my local town, but with the same evdo i got 2.4mbps in coimbatore (r.s puram). so the speed is varying depending upon the area. of-course this is under testing condition.
