No it is not possible as the speed is preset on the servers which are located at the ISP and based on your connection the ISP will provide the bandwidth

You can optimize your allocated bandwidth by using download accelerator which split the file in to multiple parts , but the max speed you can reach is the max speed allocated on your connection by your ISP

Yes. Switch to braodband ... kidding. But no, you can optimize downloads as gradencityboy has said and DAP will ensure that incomplete download in the previous session is not wasted. But that is about it.

    Anyway, why use dial-up?

    a) It blocks the telephone line
    b) It is very slow with the max rate at 56 kbps
    c) It is very costly when compared with BB

high time you switch to broadband dude(incase you havent)..its way cheaper than dial up...many think that broadband is costlier because its faster etc etc.. but if you actually calculate you will notice that BB is a lot cheaper!!

it will minimize the pic quality which are available in the site... like logo..jpg.. watever it is.. except letters. so u can read.. but let me tel u one thing... it would suck... it will giv only 0.000001% high speed...

I am really surprised to hear that people still use dial-up these days. I still remember using dial-up long time back when i had to wait for minutes to load a single page to login to my email id!! By the way why don't convert to broadband, as the price is as less as Rs. 150 per month only, you will save a lot of phone bill if you use broadband than dial-up.

    Service provider -
Modem you use (internal or external with make )-
do you use any speed boosting softwares -
and lastly in CMD run ipconfig/all and post it ... we will try to help you as much as possible

bsnl dial up connection, as broadband is not available
Use FireFox Browser with adds on Adblock plus , flash Block and NoScript. ( or Opera).

Download tweakdun 2.2 free download and try the settings.
    http://www.lctn.com/util/Utilities.htm

There are some ATS settings in the dialup modem,
    which unable to refer now.

    Default Optimize your browse

Optimize your browser. first, change to a higher version of internet explorer. Better options are to install Firefox, Google chrome or safari.

Also clear the unwanted start up entries. start>run>msconfig>start up

Clear unwanted icons from your desktop. Do not dump your pc with everything you get. be selective while installing softs. remove those you do not need.

Disable automatic updates. you can do it manually when you need.

Try to use your connection during non peak hours. use a download manager. DAP and internet downloader accelerator will be a good choice.

And of course increase your ram. 1GB is recommended. atleast ensure 512MB.

Also try NETONE dialup ( if already not using it ) connection to notice any speed increase.
