ok i got my connection in march...6/3/2008 the line was activated....in the form i applied for UL900....after connection...my speed was 256...not more than that...i just got my this months bill in the email...Feb to Mar

can someone tell me wat this "other charges" are ?? I have no STD....and this line is only used for the net...hardly any calls....according to the bsnl portal total data transfer for march is 89537 KB...and my plan shows...Home UL 750 Plus

You should get it clarified from BSNL.

dont worry... those idiots would always do like that.. it would be a problem only if u r in H500.. since u r in UL.. u dont need to worry..

Did you buy any modem from them or are you sure that you got the plan as unlimited. Check your bill and login. SInce it is mentined as other charges, you need to clarify it from bsnl. Since broadband charges will be mentioned as BB charges, etc and not other charges and additional usage will be mentioned as additional download charges.

I had thought about that - still it (Other charges) should come to as high as nearly Rs 10k.

Well there are 2 plans in that Home 900 plan i guess
The one with ** says that each connect will be charged as a call and the other plan with ## being put after it says that the BB and the Calling will be with 2 different plans.....

Hence may be u must have opted for the Home UL 900 ** plan which is generally not affordable cos it tends to go for charging calls according to the signing in and off of the connection.

I guess hence there must have been an inflation in ur bill.They are the rulers buddy hence clarification will also be given by them.

in the form..there was UL900 plus...for those ppl with new connection...and UL900 normal for ppl with already existing connection....so since i already had an existing phone line...chose the latter...i guess that's foolprroof...there are no further details except that..anyone got a scan of a BB bill ??

wat timing...kix...im just back...went to meet the DE at my local exchange...said he wasn't sure about it....i had prepared a letter an a xerox of my earlier bills and my BB form details...he went thru it and told me that i would need to go to the main telephone office.....in kol...it's at 8 hare street...went there....met the AOTR there...turns out they've mistakenly billed me for the entire year...900x 10 months...i guess 2 months are free....luckily i had a xerox of my application form....thank the stars for that...showed him i had ticked monthly option...so got that straightened out...took my letter...and told me they would reverse the amount...so i'm happy...just imagine..if anybody had indeed paid for the whole year...they'd be at a loss..coz...now that's t 750....the balance amount would not be refunded or discounted...so it was exhaustive...but fruitful
