Question Problem with Huawei WA1003A

Hi,
I have the Huawei WA1003A modem/router. I had a wireless home network until a couple of days ago. All of a sudden the wireless network stopped working. I reset the modem & then configured it again. Now my desktop does not connect to the network through auto-dial. I have to connect only through a dial-up.

Further though my hand held device & laptop detect the wireless network they cannot connect to the internet.

Please help me as to what could be wrong & how can get the wireless network to work.

My desktop runs on Vista & laptop runs on XP.

have you enabled any MAC address binding in the router ?
The reset may have deleted the entry and may have to be entered again
that could be one reason the handheld and laptop may not be able to connect

first of all modem must be setup in pppoe mode with DHCP enabled.in pppoe mode you get connected by just turning on the modem.

Thank you whitestar_999 & gardencityboy.
I have not enabled any MAC address binding. Don't I had it before.
I have set PPPOE with DHCP but with no luck.
Any other suggestions?

are you able to access your modem's config page? if so go to http://192.168.1.1 and check whether you are getting an ip, if you are connected(you said you are using ppoe mode) an ip will be shown in the main page itself.59.x.x.x or 117.x.x.x .. if so then the modem is connecting successfully.. first you got to know this? if it is connecting successfully then it could be some local ip problem..
