    Default Lan Cable Coding

    HI there,
The Ethernet Cable given by BSNL to me with ZTE ZXDSL MODEM is got damaged by some mistake. I am connecting through another one self coded. But i am unable to connect. i think there some mistake in coding. and even i am not able to see the coding in BSNL's Ethernet cable.. coz it is covered with some gum material.

Please tell me about the coding so that i can connect again.

It is better to buy from the market because these will be properly crimped and tested.

There are 2 kinds of coding in that ......
    1 being the crossed cable
    2 being the parallel cable
One needs the cross cable to connect between 2 machine ....but when u use a switch or any repeater device then i guess we need the parallel cable ......
it all depends on the colour codes ......simply make a google search and u can crimp it urself ......ofcourse if u have the crimping gun for it.
