Rep Power: 0  |  Huawei router firewall configuration The broadband modem has been supplied by BSNL. PC runs on XP-pro SP2, fully patched, along with ZoneAlarm Free. Modem detail is : Huawei SmartAX MT882 ADSL router. I went through the instruction manual of the modem, but couldn't figure out how to activate the hardware firewall (or, whether it is already on). Shall be grateful for guidance. |

Rep Power: 0 | Thank you for your reply. I am attaching a screenshot of my current settings ... these are as done by the BSNL engineer who installed the modem. Do I need to change any of these for better security? I am just a plain computer user, and shall be grateful for advice by experts. Thanks again, |

Rep Power: 6 | You know people spend a lot more time securing their setup rather than using it  .. dont worry dude.. just make sure you have a good software firewall installed.. thats more than enough for a home user..Zone alarm is good!! |
