Ok, my C drive(30GB) with windows and all the programs installed comes close to 26GB.How would you back it up!!!!!!!!!!

break them into parts if you dont hav space in HDD and burn these parts to DVD's............

Thats simple but tell me an efficient way.Keeping your OS on 6 DVDs ,not a good way,I would prefer vmware instead.

bUT WHILE MAKING IMAGE FILE IT TAKES ONLY 1/3 OF TOTAL SIZE OF HDD

If u include files and folders alone/individually.. yes

but if u use sector by sector backup , it will use up a lot of space... even with compression

it includes everything it makes the backup/image when u start u pc and before windows prompt it appear .

i am having 1TB(3 HDD) hard disk but my primary drive in only 32(25gb remaning free) while making image file it takes only 8 gb size

but by vmware you also need to place those backup files somewhere......am i right.....
