Hi:
When I switch on the modem (one green light), it tries to connect to the network. Only after a couple of minutes, two green lights appear. Then it starts over again and after 5 minutes, it connects to the internet (3 green lights on). After that I don't have any problems using the net.
Why it takes so long to connect? It was working well for so many days.
Any fixes?
Thanks
1. Please give the names of the lights
2. Check your splitter. Make sure that all the connections come after it.
3. Reset the modem and reconfigure it. Do this as last resort as you need to configure it again from scratch.
May be a modem complaint. If possible try to get a friend's modem and check at your place. Or simply carry the modem to the nearest BSNL office and ask them to check. Also check the adapter.
Which mode do you use ? PPPoE or Bridge ?
PPoE
Thanks for your help, dilip.
I am a total novice and have no idea how to change it. I will ask the BSNL guys to check the modem. My mom being a BSNL retiree will help
Thanks for your help, Dilip. Happy Pongal.
