Rep Power: 2 | Hi, I am using BSNL broadband using UT-300R2U modem. I was able to connect to modem w/o any problem initailly but since last month I am facing problem with the modem and not able to connect to internet using modem. The same modem works fine with win XP on my desktop. I have tried using the manual to reset the modem as well as reset modem using the button at the back. But no help ... Could you let me know what needs to be done? |

Rep Power: 0 | there is no need of resetting the modem. just connect the modem with a lan cable to the laptop. then network icon would show as "limited or no connectivity". Then go to network settings and "make new dial-up or broadband connection" , follow the on screen steps and select your network card which will show up in options. thats all. |

can you list down the components? (Local Area Connection that you use to connect to the router/internet and choose properties).

OK try this go to control panel and in the network connections select your connection(i.e. whether you are connected through LAN or wi-fi) then in that go to TCP/IP settings and select the option "use the following IP address" and then in the boxes type the following IP address: 192.168.1.5.......(you can type any number between 2 and 254) Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0 Default Gateway: 192.168.1.1 Primary DNS: 192.168.1.1 if you type these correctly then definitely you will be able to open the modem's configuration page Note: your modem must be detected by your windows in case if you are connected through wi-fi
