    Just use your brain yaar..

    You already said
download seems to be nice with excellent speeds
As you know [do you ??] BSNL is allowing broadband only upto 2 mbps [256KBps. And you said you are getting excellent speed too. That is, almost full of your bandwidth is using by utorrent. Then there will be no possibility for a browser to send and receive requests. Also utorrent has the priority over your web browser.

For browsing, the browser needs to send requests and receive webpages. This needs quite an amount of bandwith. Since most of todays browsers cant exploit a single kb of bandwidth, [But utorrent can exploit your bandwith-sometimes it goes over 250kBps] the problem exist [This is not a problem]

Befor the actual download begins uTorrent searches for Seeds and Peers (DHT) thus this also consumes ur bandwidth.

But if u think uTorrent is making problems then better to stop all download and uploads and then check ur browsing.

    Cool

Then u should reduce your download speeds in Torrent Program

Ex: Suppose ur connection speed is 2 Mbps: 2048/8 = 256 KBps
Thus maximum speed is 256 then u can set 180 KBps for torrent program
    Similary set ur upload speed.

(Note: Kindly run a speed test for exact figure).

Since u r using ur whole speed (unlimited settings) in uTorrent, this problem is coming.

I am surprised. Even if µTorrent (or any other Bit Torrent client) is downloading at full speed, you should still be able to load web pages, albiet a little slowly. Try playing with openDNS and BSNL DNS to see what works best. Also keep MTU at the highest possible value, i.e. 1492.

I am sure you are. What I suggested was to switch between openDNS and BSNL dns. I am not very hopefull on that but one never knows.

I use µTorrent a lot but my web browsing does not freeze. Of course I never get the full bandwidth because the things I download are quite offbeat such as old movies (whose DVDs I am unable to find), comic books, etc. Consequently my peers are low.

i thinnk that utorrent is consuming all ur bandwith .. u might have selected unlimited for the speed limit

when u start the u torrent it's icon appears system tray at lower right corner
u can right click it ->download limit and select some appropiate figure

to open a website successfully your upload speed should also be good because when you open a site your request for opening that site is being uploaded from your computer to that site's server.reduce the upload speed in because if uTorrent is using all the upload bandwidth then your request will not get through & the site won't open.
