It may be because the box/circuit may be overheating. How old is your modem? Check whether it is overheating. Is it placed in a place that is ventilated?

Default I face the same problem

Hi, I face the same problem now. BSNL people tried with another modem and the same thing happens. However they stick on to their stand " Change Your Modem". Have you found the solution to your problem.

The problem started when I was using in "Always On PPPoE"I . BSNL suggested that I use it in Bridge( 'Dialer") mode.Still the problem persists. It is not always present. It is seen more during early morning hours.Sometimes I can work without any problem at all.
Here is my ADSL statistics when it is normal:

I think I can forget any help from the BSNL guys and look up to you for help

Another thing I have observed in the diagnosis test is that test to DSL "FAIL"
    br_0_32 Diagnostics

    HTML Code:
Test the connection to your local network
    Test your ENET(1-4) Connection: PASS
    Test your USB Connection: DOWN

Test the connection to your DSL service provider
    Test ADSL Synchronization: PASS
Test ATM OAM F5 segment ping: FAIL
Test ATM OAM F5 end-to-end ping: FAIL
    Is something wrong ?

My problem has been solved. There cable to my home was open and the wire was getting short with the window grill.BSNL people were adamant that the line was good by doing Good for Nothing tests. I had to approach higher Officials to convince that my modem was working fine. The cable has been changed and now everything is fine. Thanks to all who helped me.

Thanks to all who helped me.
Congrats. Will be helpful , if you post
SNR/ATTN Line Rate speed Mod selected data.
    Only above 5 parameters needed.

    Para two :
    During Festival season "PONGAL" Sankranthi"
"harvest Festival etc, my telephone went dead. Internet
was working fine. ( dataone )
Here In Chennai, I made automated
fault complaint, to the local Exchange and also
    On line . tested :
The dial rings was reaching upto Exchange.
    from another Airtel phone.
Was rectified on 15th morning by 1000AM and
the tech/staff ( linemen) called me on telephone
    and confirmed fault removed !
    Computer fault entries closed.

    Para three :
Will go through the thread again ,
and will check any mention about your telephone
line condition/s ,which I could have missed.
    Conclusion:
    Either Phone or Internet connection
    may be faulty.
We have to mention this in our posts.
