Perhaps this will help you out in getting it configured for your bsnl email id with outlook,

    Dataone Mail Client Configuration

change all the data given for dataone.in to bsnl.in, it should work.

    Smile Solution to yr problemo

    hi
I had the same problem of configuring outlook express with bsnl.in account. I contacted a lot of people at BSNL and got all weird answers. Different mail server settings and different ideas but all bull crap finally after 4 hours of fiddeling with settings I was able to get my mail box running through outlook express and this is how.

    1. remove any other mail account you might have.
    2. go to tools--> accounts-->Mail-->ADD--> Mail...
    3. Put in your display name and hit next
    4. put is your email address abcd@bsnl.in( i.e if yo have a bsnl.in account) and hit next
    4. put in incomming mail server and out going mail server as under and make sure it is pop3 and huit next

    incomming: mail.bsnl.in
    outgoing: smtp.bsnl.in

    5. here is the key that i founf. In the next screen do not put your user name as just abcd make it abcd@bsnl.in and put in your password and hit next.
    6. next screen click finish.
    7. Now select the account you just created from the mail tab and click properties.
    8. In the servers tab select the option my server requires authentication and the click on the settings button right next to this option. there make sure you select the option use the same settings as my incomming mail server.

    Click O.k
then apply and o.k and start sending mails.

Default Do you read the problem

    Hi

I am sorry but do you guys actually read what the problem is. The guy has difficulty configuring a BSNL.IN account not a data one configuration. Still we go ahead and post stuff. I am sorry new but solved the same problem as the gentleman here is facing and thus posted a solution.

A request. Let us post solutions and not our egos or free time.

    Best Regards

    Default Agreed Fundu

Agreed to the facts but the noticeable part is that both the incoming and outgoing mail servers are now different and i am still using both dataone and bsnl. Both exist as different entities.

Thank u VIKU! I have successfully added my id in bsnl.in domain along with another id having dataone.in which I had already configured in OE.Now I get mails in both ids in OE . Probably your first advice to remove any other email account is not necessary. Anyway thank u so much.
