    Default Need 2 change the ip

    hello guys ,
    After a trying a lot, i gave up. i was tryin to change the ip of my computer thru my UT300R2U. i recently changed my modem from Huwaiu smartat 800 somthing where it was easily possible for me to change my ip thru Atm settings --->Pvc 1---> disconet---> connect again... each time i did this i used to get different ip...but now unfortunately my huwaue modem is not working it says hardware error....s
    so i switched to UT300R2U. i hope u tech guys help me to change the ip.

    just restart the modem if you using pppoe mode(in which you get connected by just turning on the modem) or disconnect & reconnect in windows if you are using bridge mode(in which you use windows to connect to net).

    dude it doesnt seem to work ....
    what if i switch off my modem and turn it on again .......

    will it work ...can undestand what is ppoe..... bridge....
    help me

    in pppoe mode your bsnl username/password is stored in modem & as soon as you turn on the modem you get connected.in this mode you have to restart the modem to renew ip.
    in bridge mode you use windows to connect to net by entering your bsnl username/password in the "connect to"window.in this mode you have a network icon in your system tray like LAN.

    doing what whitestar said in post no 2 will definetly change your external ip..
