Hello friends,

Let me present you a software (freeware), intended to be used by DataOne broadband users in india, who have the night free (unlimited plan) of internet connection, eg Home 500, Home 500 C, Home 500 Combo plus etc.
This software can in addition, update dynamic DNS on every connection change of Dataone BSNL broadband internet.

Why use this software
1. More flexibility over the connection...
2. DataOne averages the data usage over the sessionand then substracts 6 hours (2AM to 8AM) worth of the download. So for users of free night plan from 2AM to 8AM, they still have to switch off and switch on their modem at 2AM if they want to get really night free from dataone..
In the western countries, probably they would have called it cheating and filed a class-action suit against BSNL, because, even if they claim 2AM to 8AM (Night unlimited free), it is not so!!

Example:
If you connect at 10 PM and disconnect at 6 AM and download 400 MB data,
downloading only during 2AM to 6AM,
still the average is 50 MB/hour.
So free usage is 50*4=200 MB and the rest (200 MB) is paid download!!!

This software allows you to connect and disconnect automatically at specified times, so that you dont have to wake up at 2AM!! ;-)
The schedule this software uses is:

* Connect at program startup ( default 3 tries )
(put it in windows startup to connect with windows startup)
* Disconnect at 1:58 AM
* Connect at 2:00 AM
* Disconnect at 7:58 AM
* Connect at 8:00 AM
* Manual connection-disconnection supported!

3. Support for automatic Dynamic DNS updating along with each connection!!

I would not know this but this info is atrocious.Are you sure BSNL people do not even a timer at the website?Please make sure before you post such information.

I would not have posted if i was not sure. I developed this cause i had to pay more, even though i downloaded only between 2 AM - 8 AM.

If you have a night free account, just login to your account page in dataone and check for yourself!!

First confirm yourself before pointing a finger at others!

Suppose i want to download 5 files from rapidshare of size 100 mb each in free download period,and also i am not a rapidshare premium user so i can download only 1 file at a time the i have to disconnect and reconnect the modem to chaneg my IP.So does this download manager supports us to disconnect and reconnect at particular interval of time and then can it download other file from rapidshare automatically ????????????

i doubt that.such software are of a different kind like rapidget,rapidleech etc.

rapidget,rapidleech will work fine if you are a premium user otherwise these software won't work properly.

Hello Everyone,

As a Home 500 user I totally agree that disconnection and re-connection at 2AM and 8 AM is crucial in order to get the downloads free in that period. I have personally monitored it several times and also one of the BSNL official has confirmed it.

So far I am using a telnet script but I would be inclined to try this if it makes things easier for me.

I appreciate hard work done by shajul.

Will post the feedback after trying it.

I tried out the software and i think it works great though it has been only one day since i started using it. Thanks for the great work. I had a few querries though.
I was just wondering will it slowdown torrent download. I am using Utorrent.
Also does the software automatically cancels the connection if i shut down the computer?
