    Angry broadband problem

    I am using BSNL home 500 plan...after activated in 11th march,2008.I was just able to get a highest 1.8 Gb of download in my free hours..whereas my friends are downloading minimum 2.0-2.5 Gb in a night.Ok....that is not a problem...but for the last 2-3 days,i am not able to connect bbservice.bsnl.in to check my account usage,i have tried the page using Firefox,Opera,IE 7 even in safari for windows browser..but no luck.today i download a software from Shaplus software,,to check the usages...no luck yet.I just use 700 Mb out of 2.5 Gb till last view..but thinking about that bsnl somehow blocking the page and will bill me a huge bill.I tried also their customer care,fault bookings and local broadband exchange....yes you are right..no luck still now.

    you are not alone.bsnl portal was down for last 2-3 days but it is opening now.i just checked it.

    don't panic all of us in chennai are having this problem for the past 2 days.
    but this site works but only shows total usage

    wait maybe it will be solved in a day or two.

    i guess i was lucky.after checking the usage at that time portal is again down.

    PS---i just checked it.its working now.hurry before it went down again.

    I tried it at 13.30 at my home (SURAT). Still the link is down.
    Other than --http://bbservice.bsnl.in - is there any other site/link for checking usage. ??
    I am on a limited plan and malfunction of site is big hassle !!
    ANY suggestoins ??

    Seems typical of BSNL. I, for one, am getting dropped connections. My connection gets reset every 3 mins to 30 mins.

    Yes. But it will be difficult to prove that BSNL is at fault.

    Issue: Servers down
    Reasons: Maintenance, links broken and BSNL's trying to restore them, etc.

    Issue: Modem connection breaks down/resets continuously.
    Reasons: Faulty equipment, power surges, faulty lines, damages by external factors (and this is quite genuine)

    There shall always be reasons ...
