Default Unable to use Torrent & Azureus

    Hi,
im using 500c plan of BSNL. ive an unlimited period of 2-8am. but what my problem is that, when im using Torrent & Azureus, im not getting a download speed as im expecting. i can only get a download speed of 50kbpx max (on both).

My Azerus tool displays a warning that "ive a NAT problem.so i cannot the other remote users cant connect to my computer properly" & displays a yellow icon near the downloading file.

Also my uTorrent displays a warning as :
"the remote users cannot connect to your computer" & displays an orange exclamation mark in the status bar.

i own a PPPoE connection. Is that the problem ?
bcose one of my friend changed from PPPoE to BRIDGE connection since he experience the same problem.
is there any solution for this ?

Or else can u give me the contact number of customer care.

Can any one tell me a method to increase the download speed in 500c plan

    thanx

for opening up a port(through which others can connect to your computer) switch to bridge mode -in this mode all the ports are open you have to do nothing .....just switch to this mode and download like hell......because opening up a port is a bit tricky in pppoe mode thats why i suggest to switch to bridge mode

note:in bridge mode only one computer will be able to connect to the internet at
    a time

Bro, You have to forward ports to use it. For more info visit PortForward.com - Free Help Setting up Your Router or Firewall

in windows firewall, ive added the port used by azerues & torrent into the 'Exception' list. is that u meant? if its so, that dont helped me.

let me try by changing to bridge mode.
    but one more doubt exists.
while shifting to bridge mode do i have to inform bsnl providers or can i do the same easily. if so, can u please help me how to change from pppoe -> bridge.
    im using Type3 modem.

    thanx for all ur replies

you could try this online port scanner to check if you have port forwarded properly Online Port Scanner | Port Scan | Port Scanning | Portscan Tool .. No you dont need to inform bsnl to change to bridged mode .. to change to bridged mode Prashanth Speaks-Technology and Life: How to Setup bridged mode in UT300R2U .. though your modem maybe different, steps are similar

is a private dedicated server used for the uploading and downloading of digital files.[1] Seedboxes generally make use of the BitTorrent protocol for uploading and downloading, although they have also been used on the eDonkey2000 network. Seedboxes are plugged in to high speed bandwidth networks, often with a throughput of 100 megabits or more. Files are uploaded to a seedbox from other Bittorrent users, and from there they can be downloaded at high speeds to a user's personal computer via the http, ftp, sftp, or rsync protocols.

Seedboxes can run Windows, Linux, or Mac OS X, *BSD, etc. operating systems. More expensive seedboxes provide VNC connection, or remote desktop protocol on some Windows-based seedboxes, allowing many popular bittorrent, newsgroup or edonkey2000 clients to be run on the seedbox remotely. Other seedboxes are special purpose and run variety of torrent specific software including web interfaces of popular clients like Transmission (BitTorrent client), rtorrent and utorrent, as well as the famous TorrentFlux and [TorrentFlux b-4rt] web interface clients. These seedboxes usually have torrent specific rules as well, like say 4 simultaneous torrents as an example. More clients can be found by doing a comparison of bitTorrent software.

Seedboxes on high speed networks are typically able to download large files within minutes. A 1 Gigabyte file can take less than five minutes to download. That same 1 Gigabyte file can be uploaded to other users in the same amount of time, creating a 1:1 upload:download ratio for that individual file. The ability of a seedbox to transfer files so quickly is one of the big attractions seedboxes hold within the downloading community, and within the Bittorrent community in particular.

Thanky you for ur reply. Actually i solved the problem myself.
waht ive done is that, i coonect 192.168.1.1. from the 'Advanced' tab, i choosed 'Port Forwarding'. Here, in the 'users' tab i added the ports used by Azeures.
Now everything is working fine. i im getting a dwnld speed of 80-90kbps.
(i hope thats a good speed).

    Thats 4 ur reply.
anyhow i will go thru 'seedboxworld'. let mecheck what it is ?
    ok
    thaks again for all.
    tc

seedbox is simply a service which will do the work of downloading & uploading torrents for you on its own 100mbps fast connection(call it outsourcing).once your torrent is finished you can then download the completed file by using http/ftp etc using some download manager(ofcourse speed will be your connection speed i.e.2mbps).these services are not free & just like rapidshare premium you have to buy the service.

Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?
