    Smile Not only Chennai.

Hey, I have been facing severe modem restart problems since the last few days; since the past two days, the modem is CONTINUOUSLY restarting, I mean, it will connect, then ten seconds later it will go off, then reconnect, and after some time, the light will go off, showing no connection to the telephone line.

This is in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. I am having a lot of problems connecting at all, and if I am able to connect at all, the connection breaks like anything.

What exactly is it like in Chennai? Is it that you cannot connect at all, or is it that the connection keeps breaking?

By the way, today I changed the modem mode PPOe or whatever it is called, so that I now keep the modem on, but disconnect and dial again by entering the username and password in windows. I did this only today, and I have been facing severe hack attempts since the morning; some of the IPs can't even be traced:

    193.138.232.17
    118.168.135.86
    222.216.28.168
    10.10.49.220
    213.234.219.11
    122.116.17.131
    218.165.128.76
    61.92.52.107
    59.95.14.154
    59.95.128.161
    77.122.203.46

Does this have anything to do with my changing the connection mode?
