| to correctly use logmein your computer must be on.you can get the modem's IP from computer itself by looking at the modem config pages from the computer itself.you can use the scan but it will take extra time & i don't think bsnl will black list the IP range from where scan is initiated. i am confused by your problem.the purpose of logmein is to controal a computer whose IP address you don't know or it is dynamic/behind firewall & you can't open/forward ports.if your computer is on there is no need for you to know the IP address as long as computer is on.even if modem reboots you can still connect to your computer with new IP since logmein service running on your computer will automatically connect to net after connection is made.
