Thread: max utorrent download speed in session

hello friends
i use home 500 plan with type 4 modem .i download at free hours at night .torrnts shows 200kB/s as its download speed is it normal or underspeed ?
i use 55000 port for torrents .wat is the best torrent port for download .
when i get download speed as 200kB i checked speed guide in option in that there is a option for testing port forwarding but when i test that it says the port is not forwaded properly.i have computer assigned ip address and connect by ppoe connection.
wat can be done to increase the speed and for the port

if you are getting 200KBps then its fine because this the max speed people usually get on torrents.sometimes if you have a firewall it will allow utorrent but block speed test guide.

Download doesnot depend the port that you use. It purely depends on your bandwidth and other factors. For maximum download you can go for bridge mode configuration in modem instead of PPPOE mode. Because in PPPOE mode, modem needs to do NAT and forward packets to your PC but for bridge mode, no NAT operation so it process little bit faster.

Anyhow i dont recommend bridge mode for security reasons.
