Thread: how to check bsnl account usage?

i tried almost everthing i saw in this forum like dataone.in and all
but i am not able to open these sites ,i use 500c plan, took connection last month so help me

there seems to be some problems in checking bsnl usage for new users.. site has been up and down..i'm not sure on the current status

if you have your portal id with you then you can use the software itself, may be it can help....

Did you get an ADDITIONAL Portal userID 14 digit
and password as password. Ask your exchange.

You need an id and password for this purpose. dataone.in and data.bsnl.in are official sites of BSNL. When you take a broadband connection, they will give you an id (mostly a few words attached to the date you applied). If you have not got it yet, just make a call to customer care or local exchange. They can give it to you in minutes. The password is normally " password ".

But the downtime of these sites are high. So most of us use an alternate bandwidth meter. ShaPlus Bandwidth meter is simplest one. But the values are not official so please counter check the values with the sites mentioned above. If you exceed your usage limit, a mail will be sent to your bsnl id ( I hope you know your id).

Most importantly. If your connection is not from 1st of a particular month, you will not get full month's usage limit. ie, if you got your connection on 12th and your limit is 1 GB, you will get only 18/30 X I GB.

I have found a great idea for this problem !!!
Follow these points :-

1) Go to data.bsnl.in
2) You will be asked for a Portal ID and Password at the right side.
3) You would have been surely provided with a Portal ID and Password, when you bought the Broadband itself.
4) If lost, contact the Customer Care or the nearby Exchange of BSNL.
5) Enter the Portal ID and Password, which will open your Profile for you.
6) the next step is just to check your Broadband Usage.
