Thread: can't activate internet on my apple laptop. plz help.

i have recently decided on bsnl broadband and they have given me the username and password too. but i dont know how to activate it on my apple laptop. the method the told me was for desktops using windows. i cannot start my connection on mackintosh operating system on my apple laptop. plz help. very urgent..

just configure your modem in pppoe mode.in this mode you enter your bsnl username/password inside modem settings & after that modem does all the work of connecting to net.you just have to connect your modem to computer(LAN or USB though LAN is preferred because USB mode requires installation of USB modem driver which are usually for windows only) & turn on the modem & you are connected.to configure a modem in pppoe mode ask bsnl people if you have a bsnl provided modem.if not post your modem model here.
