Thread: Bsnl user name & Password

Hi all

I want to know that if my bsnl username and password is known by my friend and he miss use my ID and Password and download with my ID or give to another . Is it possible that who has used my ID and Password and finished my monthly quota or more . May i identify that person or not and tool from bsnl or and any other company.

The answer to your question is - Yes, it is sometimes possible for someone to use your user-id/password to surf. However, in some places, especially in metros, the connection is tied to your phone number (aka port binded). In case of port binding, it is not possible for someone else to use your connection.

You must take the following steps and future precautions:

a) Go to your local exchange and ask for your portal-id. They will give this to you. Using your portal-id (a 14 char alphanumeric code), and your old password, you can login to the BSNL Account Management portal and then change your password. Make your new password cryptic and strong which is hard to guess/break.
b) You can also check your BB usage from the portal
c) Never disclose the password to your anyone - even your best friend.
d) If you are sure that some one is using your account, make a complaint and BSNL will be able to identify the phone number from where someone else logged in. You cannot do this by yourself and there is no tool to facilitate this.
e) If you are not a heavy downloaded and can manage with slightly slower speeds you can switch to UL750+ plan that offers unlimited usage @ 256 kbps for Rs. 750 pm (plus tax). This will give you a lot of peace of mind.

I guess the BSNL user id is used to configre the network conenction , isnt it ?

I looged in with the Portal id and password to check usage but nowhere i am able to find my userid.Please help
