Default is it possible to track which website i visited on what date and on what tim

Can anyone tell me will our username and password be accessed by the BSNL Department. I mean in the database where my detaisl are stored is it in the coded format or is it visible to everyone. Moreover is it possible for them to track which website i visited on what date and on what time. Is it possible ???

Yes. This is very much possible. In fact this is a requirement by law - the police, for example, will insist on this information in case of criminal investigation. All ISPs are required to comply with this law. This is the reason why RIM ran into trouble with their BlackBerry services in India.

Yes everything you do online can be proven in court by the help of records from your isp and this is how online fraud is prevented.
You must have seen when you do a credit card transaction or a pruchase online they display your ip address underneath and tell you that all the details are being logged so if they have to prove this in court all they would need to do is ask your isp to provide details and both the details will match and you wont be able to deny the fact that you indeed carried out that particular transaction.

Every ip address you access is logged along with date and time of when you accessed it and the ip address your pc gets is logged by your isp and your isp has all your details like address telephone number and stuff to prove that its your connection that did an xyz act.

tht means they have the record abt the users like....wht all websites he visited......wht all things he downloaded/uploaded when and wht time (in detail)....thanks just4kix and admin for the information
