    Cool I get frequent disconnection

I get frequent disconnection in my DataOne 8Mbps. I use D-Link 502T ADSL2+ modem. Everything in modem setp up is correct. But I get frequently disconnect from DataOne.

Another problem is I am not able to change my password because I have my account id as xxxx@bsnl.in which is from Assam Telecom. But when I try to use my id in dataone.com, it says invalid id. How to change my password?

use bsnl portal to change password & check your usage---
    BSNL - Broadband Account Management

to login you will need a portal ID different from the one you use to connect to net.it is 14 characters alphanumeric(like ami12345678901)& will be given to you by bsnl.if you haven't got it yet contact local exchange.also after getting portal ID it will take around 4-5 days to activate.after that you can login.

Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?

complain to your nearest exchange about the disconnection problem...there must be some cut in your telephone wire which is coming from the DP(distribution point)

Line noise is one of the major causes for disconnection of DSL link. Switch off the modem, pick up the phone and dial any one digit and listen carefully. If it is completely quite (ie with out any noise) then the problem might be with the node. If there is noise on ur line contact fault repair service (197) and tell them that there is noise on ur phone line. They will usually rectify it within 24 hrs. One important thing to remember while filing complaint with 197 is that never tell them that ur having problem with ur DSL connection. Those numbnuts will make the matters worse by simply passing on the blame on BSNL Internet Servers.
Hope this helps u....Do keep us updated abut the progress...

Can you give me the details of your connection like SNR, uplink and downlink details available in the modem connection page. I think your disconnection problem is due to low SNR.

please check if DSL/ Link light goes flashing on your router or not
if DSL/ Link is flashing then its a line problem and you need to call your ISP but if DSL/ Link light is not flashing then there could be a poblem with your computer like any firewall or you may need to check settings on your router
