Default BSNL 250plan and bill 4000rs

    Hello guys,

i was having BSNL 250 Plan at home and from last month my PC was having some problem so i was not using it.My PC was completely off from last 1 month. But i got my BSNL broadband bill this time 4000 rs.
I haven't use it a single bit.Is it possible someone hacked my logion details and use it brutly.
If it is true then can i trace or BSNL server can identify that person who did this.
I have complaint a F.I.R. as well as talk with BSNL office also.
So i just want to know that police or BSNL officer can track that basterd so that he can get good lesson for his activity.

    Please guide me.

bsnl should be able to track the culprit but the procedure for tracking the culprit will take longer time then verifying that your account was hacked.in my opinion they will not bother to spend their time & resources for such a small matter.if your bill was, say, around 1 lakh then they would be more serious.
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent.
Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?

but it is worth the try
tracking the person should not be a problem as the broadband is given on phone line and they can easily check which phone line connect with what username at what time, it is just a simple log check they need to do

but as whitestar_999 mentioned will bsnl do it, i am not sure of that

But i think if i show them F.I.R. which is logged in Police Station they should support me..I just want to teach a good lesson to this culprit.

@gardencityboy,i am not sure about this.logs are usually maintained for the amount of data transfer through a partcular port to which a telephone line is connected just like meter readings of,say, electricity bill.if the difference in opening & closing reading for a month is different from the total as per bill then it clearly shows that either user's account was hacked(reading total is less than bill total) or the user is using a hacked account(reading total is more than bill total).now bsnl only check this when someone complained about account hacking.if they are maintaining a log of which line login with which account then there would be almost no cases of hacking as then it would simply be a matter of searching for a few minutes to find out the culprit.however checking meter readings of each individual connection to determine whose readings are more than the bill will take much longer time & that's why bsnl usually don't spend their time & resources for catching the culprit.

@ashishtabla,as you can see in my reply above if this is the procedure of bsnl then obviously they are not going to check hundreds of connections just to locate the culprit for a mere Rs.4000 bill.as for FIR police don't take cyber crimes seriously until they involve some terror threat, involves political personalities(like some insulting email, blog, community etc) or scams worth lakhs & crores(like online banking frauds, credit card scams etc).even bsnl knows this & that's why neither bsnl nor police will take interest in catching this culprit of yours.i am afraid that is how things run in our country especially in UP as i am from here too.
