Default nokia siemens c2100 problem with ppoe & bridge

i applied for bsnl broadband 1 month ago and since then my life has become hell. i have bsnl type-1 modem nokia siemens c2100. i first used the original conf. of bridge connection that came with the modem but my data light was not turning green, though my dsl light was constant so i decided to change the settings in modem menu to configure a ppoe connection where i used always on option. in ppoe mode data light turned solid green used to blink whenever data was transmitted so that made me happy but utorrent speed got reduced by 80%
so again i decided to switch to bridge mode, but my main problem is data light doesn't turn on in bridge mode. i will like to know why i am facing this problem. also to let u know i also get frequent disconnections and my connection auto dials after every 15 minutes.
i am from kolkata i have complained bsnl n they say everything is fine from their end.please guide me to know y my data light is not on in bridge mode and y i'm getting frequent disconnection.

first of all------in bridge mode DATA light is always off & when you are using net no light blinks.

click on BSNL connection icon in system tray.click on properties then click on options in the new window.select idle time before hanging up as never & also choose the no.& time between redial attempts.also check"redial if line is dropped"option.

Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?

    Hi neoextreme,
Me too from Kolkata, and I got my connection about one month back. As you can find in other posts in the forum about PPPOE and Bridge Connectiviity, if you are on a limited connection( say Home 250/500), it is advisable to stay in bridge mode(where you need to use the id and password everytime) to avoid secret data upload & download from your machine.

    Hi,
Can you please tell me how to configure nokia siemens c2100 for PPOE setting? Currently I have bridge setting which always asks for user name and password. I would like to do PPOE setting so that whenever modem is on, I should have internet connection.

    Thanks
