Default Siemens C2110 Type 1 Modem not working with NETGEAR wireless router

    Hi,
I recently got Broadband connection from BSNL. It is working fine. Now I need to connect 1. NETGEAR wireless router and 2. VONAGE MOTOROLA Phone device to it.

Now whenever I try to do it, it says remote computer did not respond. Error 678. I looked in the forums here and found out that probably the BSNL provided modem needs to be working on the PPPOE mode. For this I need to setup a new connection, right? My first Question is when I configure PPPOE over 0/35, my existing settlings will be lost and in case I do some mistake will there be a problem in reconnecting to internet?
Also once I have made changes to BSNL modem, do I need to make any more changes in my router or Vonage phone device?
    Please guide me about.

Yes you need to make some changes in your router as well.....here you have two options whether DHCP server is enabled in the BSNL modem and DHCP server disabled in your wireless router for other option it is vice versa i.e DHCP
server is disabled in BSNL modem and enabled in your wireless router
