Default 750UL without username & password

Presently,I am on 750UL bsnl plan.

As,it is unlimited, so I want to know, is it possible to connect to net without dialing i.e I just want to switch ON my modem...thats it...don't want to specify user name and password each time.

    Modem:ZXDSL 831AII

First of all delete the dialer from which you are dialing presently and configure your modem to pppoe mode thats it you just have to specify your username and
password in the modem itself and the modem will dial automatically for you as soon as any pc or laptop is connected to it.

    Thats a good question......

First open your routers config page and type 192.168.1.1 and press enter

enter username and password as admin and admin respectively

now go to WAN and edit the first connection named 0/35 ...bridge_0_35 something similar to this......usually it is the first connection

then in their follow the onscreen instructions and select there ppp over ethernet(PPPoE)

and enter your username password of your broadband connection(not the portal id one) there in the next step

    save/reboot your router

i am using a different router otherwise i had supplied you some images

Under bridge_0_35..there is no option available to select ppp over pppoe

    Options available there are:

Please enter VPI and VCI numbers for the Internet connection which is provided by your ISP

    VPI
    VCI
    Service Category
    -
    -
    -

What should I do now ?..Should I call Customer Care ?

Under bridge_0_35..there is no option available to select ppp over pppoe
edit the connection or go to its properties/preferences.start clicking next-2 without changing any values(if you have to enter VPI/VCI values they are 0 & 35 respectively)then you will see an option encapsulation mode/connection protocol which should be bridged.change it to pppoe.

I found pppoe but there is a option to select

    Encapsulation type:
    LLC/SNAP
    VC MUX

Which one I have to choose ?

    I tried through LLC/SNAP (Default)
    Then,Click Next,after that
New page (options) ask for IP DNS n all....but I selected obtain IP automatically.
After that,Modem Restarted, but not able to connect to network (No Net)

Is there any specific IP and dns which I must enter ?

    I found pppoe
where ever you found pppoe after selecting that in the next screen you will be asked to enter your BSNL username(without @bsnl.in) & password.if you did not get such a screen then you are doing something wrong.

    I tried through LLC/SNAP (Default)
    this is correct.
but I selected obtain IP automatically.
    this is also correct.
New page (options) ask for IP DNS n all
try to see if you can set DNS to automatic too.

you entered your BSNL username/password in some window before this screen?
enable the default route.without it this won't work.

    Default Solution

Hey balaji151 just do the following :

just start your pc and turn on your modem "zxdsl 831 aii"

then open up your browser and navigate to 192.168.1.1 then

log into your modem by providing the username & password.

    click on internet under configuration

then find the ppppoe_0_35 and click on the edit button

then click on next 3 time

then click on always on and click on next ( SEE THE ATTACHED IMAGE )

    then simply click on apply

now you have to restart your modem to take effect

for this do not turn off your modems switch just

go into SYSTEM> then click on RESET & RESTART

just press restart button DONT CHECK THE

    "RESET TO FACTORY DEFULT SETTINGS".

now whenever you will start your modem it will automatic

connects the internet without dialing .

    Thankyou all for the info

    This topic is very nice

IS there any way by which the yellow light will not take sooo long to glow contineously.

How much time it takes in your connection.

When I connect it through seperator it takes time.

When I connet it without seperator it takes very less time.

Do you also face the same problem???

    Please help
