Angry BSNL WLL problem, PLEASE HELP!!!

hi guys, ill get right to the problem,

In my old place, I had a BSNLs landline with 500 plan / 2MBps connection..Now, I recently shifted to my new house, which is outside bangalore in a rural area with no houses around. I had to go through hell to get a WLL connection.Everything went fine, and I have a good network strength and am able to make calls as well as browse the net with the new connection. My questions are :

    1. This is my current speed, I was amazed that people on this forum with the exact same connection as mine are getting 17 - 22 kbps download!! How is this possible ?! Though the speed shown is 108, I get only 10kbps max, maybe cause of KB to kb difference in conversion, but still, why am I not getting 22 kbps download speed in spite of good signal strength?? I am using an external antenna for the WLL phone.

2.As I have transfered my connection, will the 500 plan persist on my WLL or the plan would be changed ?? Can I get the 250 unlimited plan on my WLL ?? Is there any special procedure for it ??

    3. I have set my data rate on phone / modem to 236000 bps on the phone and the pc dialup connection. Is that the reason for the slow speed? Will the download/upload speed vary if I change this setting???

Someone please help me, as Im stuck with pathetic speeds which are good enough only to view pages in wikipedia. Thanks in advance ...

new plan new tarrifs.obviously 500 plan can not be transferred to WLL.check bsnl site for tariffs & plan details.you can experiment with bps values to see which works best.
