hi all... an a new comer to bsnl bradband.pls help me. is there any difference between the modem settings ? or any common thing between all the modem types ?

What is your problem state it clearly............settings are same for all the modem types but the method is slightly different i.e. router's configuration page is different in all the modems

my modem model is Dataone (HUAWEI) smartAX MY841..... give me the details abt the setting for this type of modem

Which settings do u want me to give ...... you have two options to select from...
1. configuring modem in bridge mode(in this you will have to dial manually to connect to the internet

2. pppoe mode(always on) in this mode you will not have to dial, the modem will dial automatically, when the pc is on you will be connected to the internet
