Default shifting bsnl dataone from city to city

Has anyone shifted their bsnl dataone connexion from one city to another? Can you share your experiences? I want to shift my home unlimited 900 plan from pune to bangalore.

I dont think that is possible .....
It will be better for u to get a new connection at the new place and close existing connection.
As though update and correction things dont work fast at all government services.

    Thanks for the replies guys.

I found out at the BSNL customer care that it is possible to shift the phone as well as the dataone connexion. How it works is:-
    1. you need to apply for a Transfer of the telephone line to the other city.
    2. Then apply for Transfer of dataone at the new address.

While this does not require you to pay for the installation or the advance, it is treated as an application for a new connection. Meaning, you will have to endure the wait period at the new exchange.

I have observed that generally the transfer of the phone connection is much less painful than applying for a new one especially in big cities. Although I guess individual experiences would differ.

I have decided to go for a private player like Airtel/Reliance temporarily. (I hope I can use the Huawei modem for their connections) and simultaneously apply for the BSNL transfer.

    Hope this helps.
