It is very much possible for someone to hack your network.

You have many options to implement security:

    a) First and foremost, change the router's (admin) password. Make it really strong - at least 10-12 chars with a healthy mix of Uppercase/lowercase letters, numerals and special chars.
    b) Change your BSNL password also using portal-id and the admin page.
    c) Implement wireless security.

    Steps you should take:

    1. Disconnect your router/modem, etc. from the telephone line. This will prevent internet access.
    2. Reset your modem and router. This will cause all changes and configuration to be lost and modem / router will reset to factory settings
    3. Report immediately to BSNL and get new password.
    4. If your PC is compromised then delete the unknown account. If that is not possible, reformat will be the only option.

And in future, please do take care of your own security. I have no idea whether you are a newbie, how good you are technically, etc. but you are responsible for your own assets.

If you are a newbie and non-techie, you must learn the basics of computers and some technicals. If that is not at all possible, you must request someone you know to do it for you. This will not be possible over the internet because you will more likely screw up more things than resolve others.

If you are a techie then I do not understand how you could let something like this happen. You cannot leave your home unlocked and expect not to have theft.

My words may be harsh but better be "harsh and safe" than "linient and sorry".
