Rep Power: 3  | portal id is used for checking your account usage and to change your BSNL broadband password however you cannot change your username ofcourse. to get your portal ID- go to your nearest telephone exchange and ask the person incharge he will give you a unique 14 characters alpha-numeric ID and password through which you will be able to login to your account at the website of BSNL |

Rep Power: 3 | The difference between the portal ID and your broadband ID is as follows Portal ID: 14 characters alphanumeric Broadband ID: only username is there for eg: xyz_(your city name) Note: you cannot use your broadband ID in the BSNL website to check your account you have to enter your portal ID there to check it |

Rep Power: 2 | what is the diffrence between user id & portal id? hi i hav broadand user id and password. i see my usage on http://10.240.16.195/webLogin.jsp this site from my Broadand user id (mnk_pra) and password. In Telephone exchage staff said user id is same as portal id?is it true? what is difference between user id and Portal id what is the portal website? In that portal site what includes? give me clear solution |

What do you mean by "clear" solution i have already explained you ok explaining again user ID : it is used to connect to the internet Portal ID : it is used to check your account usage After loggging in you will automatically see what that site includes i hope i am clear now | ||

Rep Power: 2 | there are two catagories of users 1st catagory users check their usage using portal id and password (mostly new users) 2nd catagory checks usage using broadband id and password. for more details check this How to find Monthly Dataone bandwidth usage |

| Platinum Member  | @player,old users who have IP 59.x.x.x have only one ID using which they check their usage at sites like 10.x.x.x new users having IP 117.x.x.x need portal ID to login to bsnl portal to check their usage.we new users can't login at these sites like 10.x.x.x which old users use to check their usage. |
