Thread: What is the diff between user id & Portal id?

i hav broadand user id and password.
i see my usage on http://10.240.16.195/webLogin.jsp this site from my Broadand user id (mnk_pra) and password.

In Telephone exchage staff said user id is same as portal id?is it true?
what is difference between user id and Portal id
what is the portal website?
In that portal site what includes?

User Id and Portal Id are different.

User Id is used to access the internet whereas Portal Id is used to manage the internet account, change password, check usage, etc.

The portal web site is BSNL - Broadband Account Management

And for heaven's sake don't publish your user name. Most careless of you.

one more thing portal ID is only given to new users(having IP 117.x.x.x)because they can't use sites like these http://10.240.16.195/webLogin.jsp similarly old users(IP 59.x.x.x) like yourself who use the 10.x.x.x sites to check usage can't use BSNL - Broadband Account Management
