as far as i know all business plans are upto 2 mbps & in your case speeds are promised from 512kbps upto 2mbps.what you are getting is 512kbps which technically is correct because bsnl say 512kbps upto 2mbps.you are definitely not getting higher speeds but the lowest possible speed in the range of 512kbps-2mbps.try to download some big file(like DirectX 9c) from microsoft's site or softpedia using a download manager like flashget,internet download manager(IDM) etc. to see how much speed you get.don't rely on speed tests.

Ya i have already tried that..when i am downloading any big file using FLASHGET..sometimes iam getting speed 150 KBPS to 205 KBPS..which is quite good. but i m getting it sometimes only. other wise speed is 50KBPS to 80 KBPS approx.

even some times download is not starting at all and the speed is fluctuating in TASKBAR to 5.4 KBPS only and sometimes it does not completing at all like this snapshot :

I am not going to understand only one problem, which i want the solution. As till afternoon i was able to open HOTMAIL.com, but right now its not opening at all. other sites also behaving like this. why this so?

Can temprature b the issue?

i dont think temperature has anything to do with this.. you sure you are using opendns servers right?

OPENDNS Site is not opening right now this time due to mine Broadband problem..What a incidence i am Using Open DNS Servers and my BB net is not opening this site at all sayng " PAGE LOAD ERROR" ..

but i am sure it will show "Thanks your using opendns" in green loacted in left side. I have checked it last say, i am sure.

TODAY YAHOO MAIL, and ORKUT both are not opening.. while i canping them both.. If i can ping the websites..why my NEt is not display the webpage ?

Now a new problem arrised.

My BB Net is disconnecting after every 15 mins approx.
Even i m using Ppoe mode ALways on.

i kept my modem in Ping mode
i.e. ping Yahoo!

whn connected the response is :

and whn disconnected there is no satisfactry response in ping screen and i have to connect it again and again.

why my modem keep disconnecting, i have to connect it again and again.
now wht this new problem is?

I think your modem is malfunctioning!............which modem are you using you do have a serious issue here

but that was just one time out mate.. it could be for any reason.. if it had disconnected it would take atleast 5 -10sec to connect again.. then you definetly would have got more than 1 time out..did you try to open yahoo by typing 209.131.36.158 ?did it open?

I am Using ZTE ZXDSLAII Modem.

ya i am able to open Yahoo.com

But unable to open mail.yahoo.com
means home page is opening and further it says Page Can No Load..or no connectivity

see there are possibilities that your modem might be the problem. We can only predict, we cant assure you that modem is the culprit. we asked you to follow some of the intial troubleshooting steps to confirm that they are not causing serious problems for you. Help me to configure it..the manual i got is not understoodable.

try this link.something similar steps should apply to your modem too because basic settings are same for all modems for bsnl dataone.
