Unhappy BSNL Connection and attachment problem...

    Hii All...
I am using BSNL Home500 plan on my computer from last 2 months and I am using Sify BB on other comp. Last week i had problem with BSNL connectivity so i simply called BSNL expert to solve the issue and i dont know what he did but my internet connection starts when i turn on the modem without username-password. It was working fine but now i am having problem regarding mail attachments uploading on my BSNL connected PC whether it is working fine on my Sify connected PC. when i tried to attach files to any mail (yahoo, rediff, gmail, etc.) it gets hang for indefinate period. I have tried few things which i suspected....for example i restored my pc, i reinstalled IE-7, I searched net for any help...nothing help to solve this problem.
I know these may be 2 diffrent problems. I need help regarding this.

One more question: Is it fine using BSNL without username-password?

Please help me out...I will be greatful to u all...

    Thanks.

It is not advisable to use this setting as you are on a limited plan change your settings to the previous one

    2) no my pc doesnt get hang....my browser gets hang only when its uploading attachment.

    3) i cant upload anything. means my attachment is just 124 kb.

just try to upload your attachment using firefox and see if you are able to make it

    To restore settings:

--type 192.168.1.1 in your browser and press enter

--type admin in both the fields i.e. username and password

--then go to WAN page and edit the first connection stating 0/35 pppoe_0_35 similar to this

please mention your modem manufacturer so that i can tell more

Please check MTU settings. This value must be 1492 or less.
