Question Setting Up Wi Fi Broadband On Notebook With Windows Vista

I have a ZXDSL 531B (TypeII) modem which I had been using with my Desktop as well as Notebook thru PPPoE connection. However I am clueless as far setting up my broadband thru WI FI is concerned. I have a HP Pavillion DV2713 wifi enabled note book which is communicating well with the modem otherwise.

    Kindly Help Out pls.

It means that the Notebook is able to detect the modem thru the wireless assitant software and shows that local area network is connected with signal strength as excellent.

Is DHCP on in the ZXDSL modem?

If yes, set TCP/IP settings to automatic on your laptop's network settings.

If not, set it manually that is in the subnet range of the modem's IP address.

and you are not able to browse the net right??

configure your modem to pppoe mode and you are ready to go but you have said that you already configured your modem to pppoe mode then make sure DHCP server is enabled or not in the modem configuration page or assign a static IP just as just4kix mentioned above
