Thread: Forgot DATAONE Login Password

Hello Comrades, well I am stuck in a situation here. I have had a Dataone HomeUL900+ plan and have been using it since 8 months. Now I have realised that I have completely forgotten my administrative and login passwords. Now I need to format my PC but am not able to do so. Can someone help me? p.s. I did change the default "admin" Administrator Username & Password. HELP

Your post is not conclusive. What password are we talking about?

1. Title/subject says Dataone password.
2. Body suggests PC's administrator password as well as the modem/router password.

If you have forgotten the DataOne password (and you have changed it) then please go back to the local exchange and request for a new password.

If you have forgotten the PC's administrator password then since you are going to reformat, it does not matter any way. I believe that there are some utilities to recover the Windows administrator password and you can google for them.

If you have forgotten the modem/router's password (but not the Dataone password), then you can reset the modem using the RESET switch and it will reset to factory defaults. All modem/router settings will be lost and password will be reset to 'admin' (or whatever the manual says).

Have a slightly diferent problem with my Dataone connection password. Still remember my username but although I have saved my password (in the connection window where it gives the option of saving PW) I don't remember it. Am scared that if someone deletes it by mistake or clicks on the tick mark then I'm screwed. Good thing is that I can connect and surf for now but is there any way to find out what my PW was?

have u changed the default password issued by BSNL at the time of new connection. It may be "Password" itself

are you an old bsnl user or new?? old users get 59.x.x.x ip and new users get 117.x.x.x ip.. do you use the old or new portal?

Or just call the cc guy and tell them to reset ur password to "password"

I think the new portal .. have had BSNL for only three months now. Its http://bbservice.bsnl.in .. right?

Who's the cc guy? Do you mean the exchange guys .. any particular designation? thanks

Did go down to the Telephone Bhawan here and met the tech guys. Luckily it all worked out and they called me back with my new password.

Thanks comrades.. god my p/w reset. now i cant log in to the bsnl dataone website to change my dataone p/w.. any suggestions?

u tried checking ur account in bbservice.bsnl.in... did u give your potal id correctly???

For your dataone password, go to the regional bsnl office ie from where u received the original password and give a written application there and get a new password issued.No phone call or oral request will do...

the second one as u are going to format ur computer ..is not at all a problem
