Rep Power: 0  |  Open Dns Didn"t Work For Me How much u guys go on praising open dns........... it was slower than BSNl's dns servers and caused a lot of headaches even google was taking a minute to load!! finally i changed to bsnl's DNS and it's working ok....... actually i was having prob opening sites.ie it was taking too long to load..... hence I changed to OPEN DNS.........but it only showed it's much anticipated speed sometimes........most of times it was slow..... so i had to change back..... can anyopne tell me a DNS software for windows 98?? as " TREEWALK" doesn't support win 98. OS: win 98 se modem/router: siemens SL2_141 type II wireless modem ram: 128 mb( i know it's hilarious)  |

Rep Power: 4 | well mate your the first user i have seen who says bsnl dns is faster than opendns.. it could have been that the bsnl servers were down when you tried opendns.. it happens sometimes.. if you are keen on using treewalk .. there is a way i think..treewalk does the same thing basically converting domain name to ip.So on a computer using treewalk type nslookup anywebsite.com and you can find out the dns servers used by treewalk and set it accordingly in win 98 |
