Default Help me to configure MT841 for manual dialling

My modem is smartAX MT841. now its in auto dialling mode. i wanna disable this auto dialling. then only i can use dial up connection to connect modem to internet.

I wanna change it to manual dialling mode, so that i can disconnect and reconnect using the bat files before free downloading b/n 2-8AM

So i need help to know how to change into manual dialling mode in the modem... i read modem manual and there is no sufficient info available abt it.

    So please help me.

hope this helps Prashanth Speaks-Technology and Life: How to Setup bridged mode in UT300R2U steps are similar.. basically you need to go to the WAN page and change vpi/vci 0/35 to bridged mode

    i done the following things.

i deleted all entries in connections>WAN configurations
created one with 0/35 and gave bridge mode.
then too i cant connect via dial up.
then i deleted dat and created 0/35 with PPPoE mode
this time also i was unable to connect.
i deleted tat too and create the same PPPoE with 0/32
this time i got connection, but its in auto dialling mode.

There is no default route setting option in the bridge mode in MT841
Also there is no option to edit the WAN type in a connection....
Whenever i wanna change im deleting the existing one and creating the new one. still now in auto dial mode.

is there any firmware update for MT841

    waiting for the responses.
    Thanks in advance

default route option is only enabled in pppoe mode i think.still correct connection for bsnl is _0_35 with VPI/VCI values 0 & 35.in my opinion you have modified your connections too much.reset the modem by using "reset to factory default"option in modem or insert a pin in the hole at the back of modem & keep it pressed for 30-40 sec.make sure that during resetting power supply must be uninterrupted or else your modem will get damaged.after resetting start from beginning & edit the connection 0_35_ & change its mode to bridge.
