Unhappy Help needed for configuring wireless for MacBook

Hi,
I recently got a new broadband connection from BSNL and i opted for the Type II modem which is of ZTE - ZXDSL 531B type. I got my windows desktop configured for connecting to the internet, but i have been trying hard to connect to internet from my MacBook using wireless. I am really not able to figure out how to do it. I am able to connect to the wireless network available with this modem , but when i try connecting to internet it fails with an error that it cannot connect to the server. Can someone please help me configure wireless on MacBook with this modem so that i can connect to the internet?

Thanks in advance.

anything would be fine, simultaenously or not simultaenously. I just wanted to use my MacBook to browse internet using the wireless modem.
What configuration do i need to do for this?

first go through this guide thoroughly
http://www.indiabroadband.net/bsnl-b...onnection.html (Solution for multiple machines connecting to same BB connection)

I am giving you a glimpse: Just configure your modem to pppoe mode, in this mode you will be able to connect upto 254 computers/lappys simultaneously whether through wi-fi or through LAN cable

Unhappy

I completed the instructions given in the manual "solution for multiple connection on the same connection" for configuring the modem for PPoE, but internet still doesnt work on my MacBook, when i connect to the wireless network.

The modem diagonastics page shows these values:
=========================================
pppoe_0_35_1 Diagnostics

Your modem is capable of testing your DSL connection. The individual tests are listed below. If a test displays a fail status, click "Rerun Diagnostic Tests" at the bottom of this page to make sure the fail status is consistent. If the test continues to fail, click "Help" and follow the troubleshooting procedures.

Test the connection to your local network Test your ENET(1-4) Connection: PASS
Test your Wireless Connection: PASS

Test the connection to your DSL service provider Test ADSL Synchronization: PASS
Test ATM OAM F5 segment ping: FAIL
Test ATM OAM F5 end-to-end ping: FAIL

Test the connection to your Internet service provider Test PPP server connection: FAIL
Test authentication with ISP: PASS
Test the assigned IP address: FAIL
Ping default gateway: FAIL
Ping primary Domain Name Server: PASS

And the WAN summary page looks like this:
===================================
WAN Info

VPI/VCI Con. ID Category Service Interface Protocol Igmp QoS State Status IP Address
0/35 1 UBR pppoe_0_35_1 ppp_0_35_1 PPPoE Disabled Disabled Enabled Authentication Failure
0/32 1 UBR br_0_32 nas_0_32 Bridge N/A Disabled Enabled Up
8/35 1 UBR br_8_35 nas_8_35 Bridge N/A Disabled Enabled Up
8/81 1 UBR br_8_81 nas_8_81 Bridge N/A Disabled Enabled Up
0/100 1 UBR br_0_100 nas_0_100 Bridge N/A Disabled Enabled Up

Can you tell me what i might have missed?
Internet works fine with my desktop. I am i missing something when i try to connect to internet using my macbook?

Hi,
I found the DHCP setting and its enabled something like this:
Enable DHCP Server (this option is checked)
Start IP Address: 192.168.1.2
End IP Address: 192.168.1.254
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Leased Time (hour): 24

I am wondering what additional setting needs to be done for the wireless to work. My macbook connects to the wireless network, but doesnt connect to the internet.
