Thread: Not Able to do port forwarding

Hi All
I am intrested in setting up web server on my machine and do port forwarding of 80 port to my private IP network. I have done all my setting still i am not able to do access my web server from other internet connected PC.

I have following issues
1) when i go to myipaddress.com i get my IP as
117.195.97.95
I am not able to ping this IP from other internet connected machine ( I have used tata indocom data card to check same)
2) I have observed that my firewall gets alerts from other BSNL network PC on my port 80 which indicates that port forwarding is working from BSNL to BSNL network however not from other network.

Please let me know if any one has done port forwarding on BSNL broad band.

try switching of your firewall temporarily and then try pinging to your computer and try accessing your website

HI

I have disabled firewall and tested same. Still I am not able to get access to my website.
I am not able to ping ot IP address which i have got ( I used myipaddress.com) to know IP address which is assigned to my router.

To ping I have used Tata indicom data card.. I am just thinking if public IP which I received on BSNL is not pingable from Tata indicom n/w ?? I will check same by using some other network...

Just want to know if same works for you....
